Blizzard has officially launched the 2.3.0 Public Test Realm (PTR) for Diablo IV, giving players an early look at upcoming content for Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim. The PTR runs from May 27 to June 3, 2025, allowing players to test new features, balance changes, and mechanics before the season officially begins.

Key Features in the 2.3.0 PTR

  • Horadric Spellcraft: A new system that lets players craft powerful spells using Catalysts, Infusions, and Arcana.
  • Horadric Strongrooms: A fresh dungeon experience packed with rare loot and hidden challenges.
  • Escalating Nightmares: A new endgame activity that intensifies over time, pushing players to their limits.
  • Astaroth Returns: The fan-favorite boss Astaroth makes a comeback, offering a challenging battle for seasoned players.
  • New Unique Items: Several powerful new items have been introduced, expanding build possibilities.

How to Join the PTR

Players on PC can access the PTR by selecting Public Test Realm in the Battle.net client. Game Pass users can also participate by launching the Battle.net client through the Xbox app.

Why the PTR Matters

Blizzard uses the PTR to gather player feedback, fine-tune balance changes, and eliminate bugs before the official season launch. This is a testing environment, meaning adjustments will be made based on community input.
