CoD veterans frustrated after classic mode gets ignored in Black Ops 6 Season 2

The mid-season update was launched for both BO6 and Warzone on February 21, introducing the highly-anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover, weapon buffs and nerfs, and some new maps.

Despite being still playable, the absence of the Hardcore mode among the eight core playlists—a low-health variant that was a main staple for many years—has caused frustration with players.

"Hardcore being ignored again," a player began in a post to the BlackOps6 Reddit, "My friends and I exclusively play Hardcore, we just prefer it, but it's getting really annoying not getting seemingly any of the new game modes or playlists."

"All of these modes/playlists are exclusive to core. Its ridiculous actually how much content you lose playing only hardcore," they said, before ending with, "The season reloaded update just came out and it's seemingly pot luck if we're able to play the new maps, it needs to be better."
